🍎🔬 APPLE SCIENCE STEM CLASS! 🍏🧪

Apples aren’t just for eating—they’re perfect for SCIENCE! Join us for a fun-filled hour of hands-on experiments, engineering, and discovery at our Apple Science STEM Class!

📅 Wednesday, September 2
⏰ Two class times available:
🍏 1:30–2:30 PM
🍎 5:30–6:30 PM

🧪 APPLE BROWNING INVESTIGATION
Why do apples turn brown? Young scientists will test different liquids, make predictions, and discover which one keeps an apple fresh the longest!

🍎 APPLE DROP ENGINEERING CHALLENGE
Can you save an apple from a fall? Students will use everyday materials to design a protective device, drop-test their creation, and improve their engineering design!

🌋 FIZZY APPLE VOLCANOES
We’ll finish class with an erupting apple! Students will combine ingredients to create a fizzy chemical reaction while learning about carbon dioxide gas and chemical changes.

🧠 Along the way, students will explore:
✔️ Chemical reactions
✔️ Oxidation
✔️ Gravity, force & impact
✔️ Engineering design
✔️ Predictions & observations
✔️ Testing and problem-solving

👧🧒 Designed for Kindergarten–6th Grade

Since we’ve recently gained so many new followers, we thought it would be a great time to introduce ourselves to those who may not know us yet! 🚂❤️

Hi! We’re Meagan and Dillon McJunkin, the husband-and-wife team behind Toot-Toot Tutoring!

Dillon is an operator at LyondellBasell, and I’m a former Barbers Hill ISD teacher turned homeschool mom. I spent 9 years in public education teaching Special Education, from ECSE (3-year-olds) through 5th grade, across a variety of subject areas/programs.

I eventually left the classroom to pursue one of my biggest dreams—homeschooling our own children. ❤️ Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of homeschooling from Pre-K through 4th grade.

After friends and families in our community began asking us to help support them on their own educational journeys, we started dreaming about creating a place where kids could learn, grow, and feel comfortable being themselves.

And that dream became Toot-Toot Tutoring! 🚂✨

Our goal is to provide a safe, loving, welcoming place where learning can truly flourish. We are a small, family-owned business, and we put a lot of thought into the people we bring onto our team. Our Toot-Toot staff are carefully selected and include former teachers, retired educators, and current educators who share our passion for children and learning.

We are so excited about this !

Homework is starting to come home, and if your child doesn’t have their basic math facts mastered, even simple assignments can quickly become frustrating.

This program will help students build a strong foundation in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division facts so they can approach more challenging math problems with confidence.

Our Math Fact Mastery Program is designed to help students progress step-by-step. Once a level is completed, they move on to the next challenge, building skills and confidence along the way! Start at the level that best fits your kid! (No age group)

A strong foundation today leads to greater success tomorrow. 🚂📚➕

Only 30 minutes, 1x per week, and the kids will think it’s fun!
