Nothing like the beauty of loose parts play and sunshine streaming through the windows!

There was a quiet chattering among the children as their stories, plot lines and imaginative play evolved.

Added a PVC pipe to outdoor play and look what happened!

Team work and collaboration led to play, inquiry and explorations related to the flow of water, balance and engineering!

“What do we do with this?” the children asked.

“What would you like to do?” I replied.

And that’s all it took!

Hop little bunnies … hop … hop …hop!

For preschoolers, learning happens through their whole bodies—and active movement paired with group songs is a wonderful way to support their development!

Movement breaks help build gross-motor skills, coordination, balance, body awareness, and confidence.

Group songs encourage language development, listening skills, memory, rhythm, and communication.

Learning together through songs and movement also helps children practice turn-taking, following directions, cooperation, and belonging to a group.

Most importantly, children are having fun while learning! When we sing, dance, clap, march, and move together, we create joyful experiences that support the whole child.
