We L🍁VE crafts at the den!

Here’s a few we did today!🍂🍁🎃

We played ISPY ✨fall theme✨! Our littles today enjoyed using our “magnifying glass” to search for pumpkins, leaves, outside critters, fruits, and more through orange water🤗

We also created our spoooooooky spiders 🕷️!
Using cardboard, we put pipe cleaners as their legs, the cubs then added beads to the legs, picked a silly/spooky face and some eyes to top it off😯😉

More sneak peaks coming!😊😊🍁🍂🌧️

Quick peek into our day at the Den this week✨🦁🌧️🌦️☀️🌈

Our younger cubs practiced some color matching! We placed a rainbow sheet down on the table(to go with our unit theme😉)
Also gave them some colorful bears to put on the right color of the rainbow, practicing and demonstrating teamwork as well🌈 🧸

The oldest bunch used their memory and partnership to talk about the colors of the rainbow, helping each other figure out the correct order, while glueing the strips of paper down.🌈⭐️

Adding on to it and ending it off with Talking about our letter “I” in the alphabet, recognizing the items that start with the letter “I” and color matching with the markers with our creative pictures😋🌈☀️🌦️⭐️🌧️

Our new unit at the Den is Weather & Seasons! 🍂☀️🌧️ We’re kicking things off with a fun leaf hunt! The kiddos will explore, collect, and compare leaves in all kinds of colors, shapes, and sizes. We’ll talk about what makes each leaf special and how nature changes with the seasons. Get ready for lots of little discoveries, crunchy leaves, and seasonal fun! 🍁

🌿🍃 This week, we took our lesson outside with a Nature Scavenger Hunt! 🍃🌿

There is so much to discover when we slow down and explore the world around us. Our little adventurers searched high and low for leaves, flowers, rocks, sticks, bugs, and other treasures that nature had to offer.

This simple activity encouraged so many important developmental skills, including:
🍂 Observation and attention to detail
🪨 Problem-solving and critical thinking
🌼 Language development as we talked about colors, shapes, textures, and new vocabulary
🐞 Gross motor skills through walking, climbing, squatting, and reaching
🤝 Teamwork and social skills as friends helped one another find each item
💚 Curiosity, confidence, and a love for creation

The best classroom doesn’t always have four walls. Sometimes it’s the great outdoors! 🌞
