Hello Airshow Volunteers!!

Welcome back for another Warbirds Over Monroe Airshow. Pleased note that we will be hosting a volunteer meeting at Hangar 8, 1640 Aviation Drive, Monroe NC 28110, at 2:00 pm on Sunday October 26th. This will be the first opportunity to collect your volunteer wristbands and parking passes. I will be at the hangar the week before show available to get passes out as well. There will be a "working the gate" meeting hosted by Alison Nichols , which was very helpful last year for show prep . Anyone that has worked gate before and wants to work the gate is welcome to attend. This year, like last, we have partnered with local clubs, and they are gathering volunteers to specifically work the entrance gates. This will help alleviate volunteer shortages on our end and insure that gate sales are covered. If anyone has a group they are affiliated with that would like to help out, please let me know.

If you are new to the volunteer list or a veteran to the event, we need volunteers not just on the weekend, but the days leading up to and following the show. Wednesday November 5th, show items will begin to arrive such as machinery, rope lines, porta johns, etc. Not to mention our performers also begin to trickle in and a great opportunity to meet and greet. We could use as many hands as possible Wednesday to Friday. Also in need of are a couple of folks that can assist in making CLT Airport runs to pick up Performers when they arrive in Charlotte and return them to airport on Monday. Please let me know if this job is something you can be tasked with.

Hello Warriors and Warbirds Family!!
Thank you for all the support in the 2024 Warbirds Over Monroe Air Show.
It was an incredible weekend for the 2024 show, the numbers that came out on Saturday and Sunday were absolutely record breaking. On behalf of the Warriors and Warbirds Executive Board and our City of Monroe partners , we could not execute this event without your dedication and service to volunteering.
From our pre-show volunteers setting up an air show at a busy municipal field, to a time honored and community based event , and completely returning the airfield to its original orientation is testament to the Warriors and Warbirds commitment to mission.
Our Hangar dance was a success and was a positive in our accounting. Thank you all for your participation.
We would like to extend our appreciation to all of you who volunteered and supported our organization over the air show weekend. On Saturday, December 14th, we invite all of you and friends to an appreciation lunch , plus an ARMY / NAVY Game watch party at Hangar #8. Please extend this invitation to our city partners and sponsors who may wish to attend, plus our valued members from years past who may see this post on our Facebook feed. We need to strengthen our member base and together , plan a new future! Feel free to respond to this email with an RSVP so we can accommodate with the catering ( preferably by December 7th ).
Lunch will be catered , starting around noon. Football game is scheduled for 3PM.
Let us be thankful in this season for all of you who step up and make a difference, I hope that our new , old, and future members and friends take this organization to new heights! Please feel free to reach out to me for any comments , questions, or concerns!
