Nights like tonight make me feel so grateful for the work I do. I get to take something I love and create with these beautiful humans. What a great Summer and the end of Summer Art show showcased my amazing students and their artwork. Congratulations to all the raffle winners who got to take home the group projects. Congratulations to the students who became paid professional artists! Thank you to the families for sharing your talented kids with me and for supporting the arts. Thank you to my daughter for all her help and Joe and my husband for their support. Thank you to K$D Pizza, Mister Softee and Crystal from Not Just Faces, for making this a fun filled event. Congratulations to Reagan for being awarded the Dr. Greta Cohen Buddy Award. She was definitely watching over us all on this beautiful sunny day!

Last day of Summer Art Program was so fun and busy! Our artists finished up all their projects and looking forward to tomorrow’s art show!

Our All Abilities class had fun painting crocs in a beautiful sunset theme using acrylic paints. They also painted a desk using sunflower stencils to be raffled off at the art show.

Artists choice week continued with our students picking projects to create!

Fun start to the last week of our Summer program. Our theme Artists choice began with painting crocs and will continue with choosing anything in the studio to use to create art!

For the last photography and art session, the students painted a camera using acrylics. They also worked on paintings with photographs as inspiration and their group project was painting over a photo using acrylics and sand.

Our All abilities class painted their homes today using tempera cakes and also took photographs in the yard and painted those too. The group project was photo painting a Ferris wheel!

Our artists this week continued the Photography and Art theme by being photographers and taking photos. After printing them out, they replicated them with their own style into canvas. Our group project is a photograph printed on canvas and the students enhance it with acrylics as a group.

Our fifth week of Summer Arts theme is photography and art. Pictures were taken of each students home and using AI we made them into coloring sheets and the students used tempera cakes to paint them. Their second project they sketched them on canvas and painted using acrylics!
