For more than 20 years, the murders of 26-year-old Chynna Dickus and her 10-year-old stepson, Blake Dickus, remained unsolved.

He is now in custody.

🚨 SOUTH CAROLINA MOTHER ACCUSED OF BRUTALLY ATTACKING HER TWO YOUNG CHILDREN 🚨

⚠️ WARNING: This case involves disturbing details of violence against children.

A 35-year-old South Carolina mother, Taylor Gosnell, is facing serious charges after authorities say her two children, just 3 and 6 years old, were brutally attacked inside their Spartanburg County home.

According to authorities, the children were discovered on September 26 after the 6-year-old reportedly called his grandmother and told her that his mother wasn’t home and that he and his younger sibling were hungry.

When help arrived, both children were found alone and suffering from horrific injuries.

Investigators allege Gosnell attacked the children with a knife and a blunt object during the overnight hours before they were discovered. Authorities have reported that the children suffered approximately 50 wounds between them, with some injuries reportedly reaching the bone.

💔 The injuries to the 6-year-old were so severe that prosecutors said he could potentially face the amputation of fingers or even an arm.

Both children were hospitalized and placed into protective custody. Despite the severity of their injuries, authorities have said they are expected to survive.

According to investigators, Gosnell returned to the residence while authorities were there. Officials said she appeared extremely distressed and reported experiencing visions. She was transported for a mental-health evaluation and allegedly attempted to flee from the ambulance before being restrained.

Gosnell has now been charged with:

• Two counts of attempted murder
• Two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime

She was denied bond on the attempted-murder charges.

This case is still under investigation, and the charges against Gosnell are allegations unless and until proven in court.

But above everything else, there are two very young children at the center of this story who survived something unimaginable.

🚨 BREAKING UPDATE: CHRISTA PIKE REMAINS ALIVE AFTER TENNESSEE WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETE EX*****ON

The attempted ex*****on of Christa Pike has taken another dramatic turn tonight.

According to the Associated Press, Tennessee officials were unable to complete Pike’s ex*****on by lethal injection after the U.S. Supreme Court lifted the stay that had halted the ex*****on earlier today.

Witnesses reported that Pike appeared to receive two administrations of pentobarbital. At one point, Pike could reportedly be heard loudly snoring/breathing after the curtain to the ex*****on chamber was closed.

The microphone was eventually turned off and media witnesses were escorted from the area. Emergency vehicles were later seen coming and going from Riverbend Maximum Security Institution.

Christa Pike’s ex*****on is moving forward tonight after the U.S. Supreme Court lifted the stay of ex*****on that had temporarily stopped the process earlier today.

⚠️ NEW UPDATE — ATTORNEY REPORT, NOT TDOC CONFIRMATION:

According to an update attributed to Pike’s attorney, Kelley Gleason, ex*****oners have reportedly administered two syringes of the lethal-injection drug, and Pike was reportedly still alive and breathing at the time that information was relayed.

It is important to emphasize that this information is coming from Pike’s legal team and has NOT yet been officially confirmed by the Tennessee Department of Correction.

Additionally, reports describing “two syringes” should not necessarily be interpreted as two separate complete doses of lethal injection. Tennessee’s ex*****on protocol uses multiple syringes during the administration process.

🚨 BREAKING: CHRISTA PIKE’S STAY OF EX*****ON HAS BEEN LIFTED

The U.S. Supreme Court has lifted the stay of ex*****on that temporarily halted Christa Pike’s ex*****on earlier today.

Pike had originally been scheduled to be executed at 10:00 a.m. CT today, September 30, but the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals issued a last-minute stay while considering additional legal arguments in her case.

Tennessee then asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene.

The Supreme Court has now granted Tennessee’s request and lifted the stay, removing the legal barrier that had prevented the state from proceeding with Pike’s ex*****on.

Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan and Ketanji Brown Jackson dissented from the decision.

⚠️ At this time, the lifting of the stay does NOT mean Pike has already been executed. It means Tennessee is legally cleared to move forward. We are awaiting official confirmation regarding what happens next and whether a new ex*****on time will be announced.
