There are moments as a parent that you never forget. This was one of them.
This weekend, my son, Zachary, was named.....
💥DeMolay of the Year💥 and I couldn't be more proud.🏆
For those who aren't familiar, DeMolay is a youth leadership organization that helps young men develop character, leadership, public speaking, service, and integrity.
Over the last several years, Zach hasn't just been a member....he's immersed himself in it. He's served as an officer, earned recognition for his oratory prowess, and poured himself into becoming the best version of himself.✌️
When he texted me the news, I couldn't wait. I knew he was traveling, but I had to call him immediately.
I was so overwhelmed with pride that I could barely hold back the tears.🥲
What makes me proud isn't just the award.
It's the pattern.....👇
Whether it's Taekwondo, where he's about to earn his 3rd Degree Black Belt, school, DeMolay, or anything else he commits to, he never does things halfway. He shows up. He puts in the work. He studies. He practices. He keeps improving.
(Hummm...sounds like he knows about )😅
That's the lesson I hope stays with him long after the awards are forgotten.
Success isn't luck. It isn't something someone hands you. It's the result of consistently making the choice to give your best, even when nobody is watching.
Zach, you've shown that commitment over and over again. This recognition wasn't given to you—it was earned.
I love you, son. ❤️
Keep chasing excellence.
Keep serving others.
Keep becoming the man you're capable of becoming.
I'm incredibly proud to be your dad.
