Learning, Growing and Giving Back at YCCD 📖
Many YCCD staff members were once students who received the support they needed to achieve their goals from their college professors, counselors, and mentors. Inspired by those experiences, they've chosen careers in education where they could encourage, and empower the next generation of students. The stories of Kim Pippa Tonnesen, English Professor at Columbia College; Andrea Wilson, Vice President of Student Services at ; and Andrew Godsill, Music Professor at Columbia College; demonstrate how the impact of mentorship and education extends far beyond the classroom. Education is more than earning a degree. At YCCD, education is about fostering a campus community where future generations learn, grow, and give back.
