“Hey! I’m Sidney Unger and I am ecstatic to be returning as a Guide at Cultivate Studios! I am married with three beautiful daughters and I am a Midwest transplant, as I was born and raised in Kansas City (Go Chiefs!).

I have been enthusiastic about leading children my entire life, from coaching, to teaching preschool, to homeschooling my own children. Cultivate Studios holds a special place in my heart because I too am passionate about preserving childhood, giving children freedom to learn and grow at their own pace and living a Christ-led life.

When I am not at Cultivate, I enjoy going to the beach with my family, traveling all over the world, gardening, cooking from scratch, and reading all the books!”

“Hi! My name is Kristin and I’m so excited to return this year as a full time Guide in the Wonder Studio at Cultivate! Being homeschooled from 2nd grade through high school I have experienced the fun-filled freedom of non-traditional school with having the challenge of an independent student-led environment.

Not having many social outlets as a young girl, I held on to what was most important to me, my faith and church. I was given several opportunities to serve and work in the ministry field at a young age which stuck with me even throughout adulthood. It eventually became my career for 4 years of my life.

I have been blessed to work with many people and different age groups throughout the years. I am truly eager to see these young learners enjoy similar perks of the homeschool experience, and build real connections as they learn and grow together.

Outside of Cultivate, I love being with my 15 month old son, Bear.
I also recently started a small side business (Joy Art) selling hand painted signs. I enjoy going to the beach, fishing, outdoors, and spending time with my son, family, and friends!”

Happy 4th! Cheers to FREEDOM! 🇺🇸 To me microschooling is ALL the joys of freedom for our children: the freedom of homeschooling style, the individualization, customization, flexibility, adaptability, and student-centeredness!!

It is also the freedom to choose ALL the joys of a collaborative community: learning, loving, growing, trusting, caring, helping, leading, showing, solving, and experimenting TOGETHER!

Judging from the rapid growth of the microschool movement, I am not the only one who feels the same way.
