Meet Your Trendsetters!

Hello all! My name is Michelle Wunder and my pronouns are she/her. I grew up in Billings, MT, got my Bachelors in Economics from Montana State University, and am am now in my second semester of UM’s Masters of Business Administration program. I love to travel, cook, bargain shop, coupon, camp, garden and explore with my canine partner in crime, Jackie. I joined Trendsetters because I was looking for a way to get involved at UM and with all my classes going online I missed getting dressed up to leave the house. I would best describe my style as feminine and professional. I love dresses, lace, and perfumes. A couple fun facts about me are that I speak Norwegian fluently and grew up keeping bees. One of my favorite quotes comes from a book given to me by a professional mentor, “Be obsessed or be average.”

Meet Your Trendsetters!

Hello lovelies! My name is Sara Kutz-Yeager and my preferred pronouns are she/her/hers. I am from Cut Bank Montana, but originally from near Philadelphia. I also lived in Havre MT for a bit in high school. I am a junior at UM in the BFA Acting program and am minoring in Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies. This is my third year in Trendsetters, I’ve been involved since my first semester at the University. Currently, my campus involvement is Trendsetters and a group called Compassion in Action, which focuses on mindfulness, Buddist techniques, and serving others. I am also a part of LAMBDA, which is an LGBTQ+ group on campus and recently became their secretary/social media coordinator. I also work at the UM Arts Box Office but am taking the semester off from work to focus on my health. I am so thankful for Trendsetters for giving me the confidence to recently pursue modeling. In my free time, I love creating art; whether it be acting, singing, modeling, embroidery, doing fun makeup, or painting. I also love to bake, take care of the almost 100 plants in my apartment, work towards living more sustainably and hang out with my service dog and boyfriend. I originally joined Trendsetters because I knew a lot of people in it and I thought it would be a wonderful experience to connect with other creative people and express myself. I have stayed in Trendsetters for three years because of the amazing friendships I have made and the opportunity to create art with others and discuss fashion. If I had all the money in the world, I would constantly dress in cottagecore/fairycore attire and frolic around picking flowers. I love soft, dreamy vibes and flowy dresses. I worked at a camp for a few summers and some of my favorite quotes are from songs we sang with campers. One that’s been recently resonating with me is “give us good courage, not knowing where we go…”

Meet Your Trendsetters!

Hi friends! My name is Tatum and I use her/hers pronouns 🙂 I’m from Missoula if we went to high school together...HI!!! I am a Theatre and History Education Major. I am currently a Section Leader for the Grizzly Marching Band, I’ve been playing saxophone for about 10 years. Some fun facts about me: I own around 700 books. I was part of the Disney College Program Spring 2020, so I moved down to Florida and worked for the Magical Mouse 🐭. In my free time, I love to read, hold movie marathons, draw, and paint. I joined Trendsetters because I wanted to find a group of people to create with. I sat in one meeting with Trendsetters and knew it’s where I wanted to be. My absolute favorite fashion trend is a bold red lip. Lipstick is my favorite thing to add to any outfit, it’s been hard with masks but I love it nonetheless. My favorite quote is from one of my favorite Disney movies, Treasure Planet. “Look at you, glowing like a solar flare. You’re going to rattle the stars, you are!” ✨

Meet Your Trendsetters!

Hello, y'all! My name is Marissa Piccininni Avery (she/her/hers). I came to Missoula from Phoenix, Arizona, and I am a sophomore who is studying Theatre, with a focus in Acting. I am also working on getting a certificate in Entertainment Management and am considering getting a minor in either Spanish or Anthropology (we'll see what I'm able to get done in my remaining two and a half years). Not only am I involved with Trendsetters and Theatre, but this semester I am taking part in Brooklyn Dr**er's "Dance Underground" piece! A few facts about me: I have two dogs at home, Lily Bell (an Italian Greyhound) and Cosmos (a bichon/poodle mix), that I miss every day. I also have two double-jointed pinkies, and a bit of an obsession with stickers and pins. When I'm not in class, rehearsal, at work, or doing homework, I enjoy watching movies, cooking shows, or spiraling down rabbit holes on YouTube. I'm also a weirdo who likes making lists, as well as browsing and making boards on Pinterest. And I occasionally write poetry and draw. I joined Trendsetters in Spring 2020 to meet new people, make friends, and gain more confidence through self-expression. One of my favorite trends is being kind to other people. It may sound a bit corny, but it's true: being nice never goes out of style!

Meet Your Trendsetters!

Hello all! My name is Violet Anderson and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I'm from the lovely shores of Flathead Lake in Polson, Montana. I'm a freshman this year majoring in Musical Theater Performance and I'll probably add a minor or two eventually. I'm a member of the Speech and Debate Club, and I'm loving being a part of Trendsetters. I love sewing and reading and attempting to play various musical instruments. I joined Trendsetters because I love fashion and style and wanted to make friends! I love vintage style, upcycled clothes, and diy fashion. I firmly believe what Oscar Wilde once said, "You can never be overdressed or overeducated.”
