Join Sue Beets-Atkinson and Alexandria Skoch for a time of learning that focuses on the environmental impacts of waste and its role in Scope 3 emissions.

🧑‍🏫 First, there will be a brief primer on greenhouse gas, GHG, accounting across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. It’s a key exploration on how waste contributes to emissions and why it matters for corporate reporting.

👩‍🏫 We will review the waste hierarchy and key principles for waste reduction and minimization, followed by a deeper dive into Scope 3 Category 5, or, Waste Generated in Operations.

🌎 Real-world examples and case studies will shine a light on actionable strategies for reducing waste and improving emissions outcomes.

We’re excited to turn attention towards Jonah Grossman, who joined GreenEducation.US in May 2025 in support of building partnerships and business development. Jonah, a graduating senior at Emory University in Georgia, is eager to enter the field of renewable energy with a business development approach.
