Join Sue Beets-Atkinson and Alexandria Skoch for a time of learning that focuses on the environmental impacts of waste and its role in Scope 3 emissions.

🧑‍🏫 First, there will be a brief primer on greenhouse gas, GHG, accounting across Scopes 1, 2, and 3. It’s a key exploration on how waste contributes to emissions and why it matters for corporate reporting.

👩‍🏫 We will review the waste hierarchy and key principles for waste reduction and minimization, followed by a deeper dive into Scope 3 Category 5, or, Waste Generated in Operations.

We’re excited to turn attention towards Jonah Grossman, who joined GreenEducation.US in May 2025 in support of building partnerships and business development. Jonah, a graduating senior at Emory University in Georgia, is eager to enter the field of renewable energy with a business development approach. He’s now highly equipped to do so, thanks to college education in environmental science and business, practical skills gained at GEUS, and Certification as a Sustainable Resource Management Professional, CSRMP.
