I’ve been doing this work for more than two decades, and I’ve learned that traditional financial planning only tells part of the story.
We know how to teach people to save, invest, protect, prepare and delay gratification.
But what about pleasure?
Trust?
Desire?
Expansion?
The ability to change your mind?
The freedom to actually enjoy what you’ve built?
Last week, a conversation with a longtime client gave me language for something I’ve been practicing and occasionally teaching for years.
Maybe the best financial plan isn’t the most disciplined one.
Maybe it’s the one with enough structure to protect you AND enough freedom to let you live.
I have a lot more to say about this. Stay close.
