Today is the Spring Garden Clean-Up!
🪴Lyndale School Garden
Sunday, May 17
10am-noon
All are welcome!
Meet at the School Garden in the corner of the playground field by Pillsbury Ave. (Look for the wood fence).
We have 6 classrooms that would like to plant this spring! ❤️🩹Gardening is healing for our kids and community. ❤️🩹
Let's work together to get the garden beds ready for our students to enjoy.
We will be pulling weeds, turning soil, and mixing in compost. No experience necessary.
Bring garden gloves and a hand tool or shovel if you have one or borrow one of ours!
We are also in need of newspapers and untreated dead logs to fill the new raised beds.
🛝Kids are welcome to come and help or play on the playground!
Thank you so much!🙌🏼🌸🌻🍅

It's teacher appreciation week! There's chalk by the playground doors now so feel free to come write messages for teachers to see in the morning. Handwritten notes and symbols of appreciation encouraged this week as well!

TONIGHT at our future middle school!
Discover a powerful piece of Minneapolis history — join us for It Took Courage: The Eliza Winston Story on Tuesday, Feb. 10 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Justice Page Middle School (1 West 49th Street).
While her enslavers vacationed along Lake Harriet and the Mississippi River, Winston made a courageous escape from enslavement right here in Minneapolis.
Author and St. Cloud State professor, Dr. Christopher Lehman, shares this inspiring story or resilience and how the actions of local upstanders in 1860 still offer a roadmap for justice 165 years later.
Free and open to the public – RSVP is required!

Early giving is now open for Give to the Max! It runs through November 20. We are again looking to raise $6,000 to support our popular artist-in-residence program. Additional funds beyond that will continue to go towards supporting family engagement events at the school, reimbursing teachers for supplies, school t-shirts for students, PTO meetings and gatherings, and other ways to support the school.
The PTO is a 501(c)(3), which makes it eligible for employee matching as well.
Please consider donating to help us reach our goal, and share with family, friends, and neighbors too!
Thank you!
