In ECFE we sing the some of the same songs in each class to help children build confidence as learners by knowing our daily routine. You can bring Ram Sam Sam home by using a towel, blanket or even bed sheets as your own parachute!

The familiarity will bring comfort to your child and add a new element of play to your day.

Teacher Megan is helping her students with their pre-writing by encouraging under the table coloring!

This is not only fun (who doesn't love crawling under things??), but also helps to strengthen the shoulder and core muscles needed for future formal writing.

As we approach a busy time with family and friends, help respect your child's bodily autonomy by allowing them to say no to hugs.

Support them in finding alternatives such as high fives or a fist bumps for greetings.

Teaching toddlers about consent starts with small, everyday choices. Like how they say hello.

A wave, a high five, a hug. When children get to decide, they learn something powerful: their body belongs to them.

This message helps build confidence, set boundaries and foster respect for others.

Visit Neighborhood House’s Fresh Produce Distributions at Metro State University for FREE produce all winter long! Events are farmers market style and offer a diverse variety of fruits and vegetables. All are welcome!
