Please join us this coming Thursday for our annual Empty Bowls community meal!

We had a great time making homemade pizza, fried beignets, and popcorn chicken in the Roosevelt Culinary Arts Kitchen this week!

In order to continue cooking up delicious treats in our classroom, we need your help! Our finances are running out and, unfortunately, we don’t get any funding from the district (given recent elective teacher cuts, we even feel lucky to have a job!). That means we have to fundraise all of the money it takes to keep the program running.

That comes to about $20,000 each semester, all of which goes to ingredients, supplies, and equipment for over 200 culinary students (or about $5 per student per week).

There are two ways you can help. Donations are always appreciated, but so is spreading the word through any kind of social networks. Our donation page is linked in our bio - any support you can give helps!

Thank you for any and all support already this semester; we feel so grateful to be able to learn about food alongside your students! 12/12/2025
