What if I fail?
What if I’m alone forever?
What if choosing myself means leaving the comfort, the life I’ve always known…

I was freshly divorced, sitting in a brand-new, unfurnished house, trying to figure out how to pay bills, how to budget, how to just exist on my own. I was scared and excited, but mostly unsure..

Beyond the Binary

No executive order, no law, no force can erase our existence.

Today, I want to highlight some amazing humans who hold space within the LGBTQIA+ spectrum.

The strength, beauty, and resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community cannot be diminished.

Our identities, our love, and our truth are not up for debate — they are the foundation of who we are, who we’ve been, and who we will continue to be.

To my trans, nonbinary, and all gender-expansive siblings: your authenticity is revolutionary, your stories are powerful, and your light will never be dimmed. Not by oppressive forces, not by ignorance, and certainly not by those who try to erase us. There will always be a T in the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

We stand together, beyond any binary, beyond any limit — unshakable and unbreakable.

Our existence is our resistance.

What’s one thing you can do to support the LGBTQIA this week?

Allyship is more important than ever, especially right now in this political climate. Since Trump took office, things have been happening quickly for our community, with his executive orders like the ban on transgender people in the military, rolling back healthcare protections for the LGBTQIA+ community, his signing of executive order proclamation that there are only two genders, and halting DEI programs.

These actions have put us in a vulnerable place, and it’s more critical than ever for allies to step up.

Stand up for equality, for justice, and for our right to be safe, heard, and respected. It’s on all of us to make sure our community doesn’t get pushed backward.

This is the time to make a real impact. 🌈💪🏽

🌿 True Self-Care: Beyond the Surface 🌿

Let’s talk about self-care for a second. It’s so easy to think of it as an external practice—a new candle, a favorite meal, a day out. And yes, I fully believe in the joy of treating yourself. We all need those moments of softness, the things that make us feel wrapped in a little extra warmth.

But real self-care? That’s a whole different journey.

True self-care isn’t just about looking outward. It’s about taking time to go inward to the places where we meet our own needs without apology. It’s recognizing the value of nurturing ourselves from within. Real self-care is the sometimes difficult act of showing up for yourself, of exploring what truly makes you feel whole. It’s asking the deeper questions: What does my mind need? What is my soul craving?

🕊️ Self-care is giving ourselves what we need, not just what we want. It’s more than just things—it’s the act of listening, loving, and respecting the person you are.

Let’s look within and make self-care more than just a quick fix.

Let's make it the journey back to ourselves. 💫
