"In my studio…
..the dance of creation is ever-turning through me with a natural rise and fall of creative energy. My breath guides me to connection with my creative force. In my studio, presence and prayer move freely. I am invited to welcome the ebbs and flows of the creative process as a practice of co-creation. In my studio, the slow process of woodblock printing calls me in. A spark of inspiration ignites a drawing that leads to careful carving away of wood shavings. I roll ink to my carved woodblock, transfer my design to paper, and a new piece is born. In my studio, simple printmaking tools remind me that my hands are an extension of my heart in all I create with them. My studio is a creative container in which I am held and nourished to bloom as a creative being."
I wrote these words for a feature in the summer edition of . They have been feeling more true than ever this week as I get ready for my fall/winter market season. It is so good to be back making art in this sweet loft space in my home. 🖤✨
