Chicago Style Stepping is a derivative of several dance forms, including the jitterbug, the swing, and most notably the bop. Stepping consists of two or more people dancing as partners to a six or eight count beat or sometimes, no count at all. While stepping is not specific to any single community, it is uniquely historical to the African American community. Stepping brings together people with a

Dwight and I would like to express our sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers to Valeria Connor on the passing of her beloved husband, Henry Connor. Mr. Henry, all of your friends will miss you, both in this small Twin Cities stepping community and beyond.
Valeria, we are keeping you, your daughters, your grandbabies, and your family in our prayers. Mr. Henry will be remembered as a genuine and kind spirit always ready to give you a twirl with a smile and ALWAYS dressed sharp as a tack.
Rest well, Henry. We will miss you.

Bowties&Beauties Guests!
Our venue for Bowties&Beauties is being remodeled. These architectural renderings show us that the Atrium in the historic International Market Square in Minneapolis will be even more amazing when it’s complete.
Just like our venue, we are taking some time to make a few changes of our own. In the meantime SAVE THE DATE and stay tuned for a NEW Bowties&Beauties in 2025!
