Bridging scientific knowledge and human relationships with water at the “We Are Water MN” 2026 traveling exhibit.I am thrilled to be offering a Cast Metal Make+Take at the Capitol Region Watershed on May 27, 4-7pm.

Science and art walk hand-in-hand as you transform your vision into a tangible creation. Choose from a variety of we are water Minnesota themed molds - frog, loon, water molecule - made from sculpted clay, natural elements and 3-D prints for you to cast your own small sculpture or wearable. Experience the transformation of liquid metal into a solid casting. Choose your mold, poor metal, watch as it becomes a solid and pop it out! For ages five and up. No experience necessary.

The We Are Water MN Traveling Exhibit examines water issues statewide and in local communities through personal stories, histories, and scientific information. It strengthens Minnesotans’ relationships with water, exposes visitors to new perspectives, and increases participation in water stewardship activities.

We Are Water MN deepens connections between the humanities and water through a network of partnerships, a traveling exhibit, and public events. We Are Water MN helps communities, organizations, and individuals make better, more collaborative, and more relevant choices about water.

I’m participating in a fun project with my friends that generates funds for Northeast Minneapolis Families in Need through the where 100% of donations go directly to families! created the fantastic Hold Fast Minneapolis image and is available for prints and t-shirts. / is organizing, screen printing and doing pop-up events. I love this phrase (and image!) so very much that I created a mold to cast metal boot lace buckles and am currently designing more molds for rings, pins, necklaces, bracelets, barrettes, and bolo ties. More information to follow for next pop-up and on-line orders. "Hold fast" is an old nautical phrase and symbol meaning to hold on tight, persevere through difficult times, or remain steadfast in one's beliefs, values, or commitments. Originating from Dutch/Norwegian sailors ("houd vast") to secure rigging during storms, it implies resilience and endurance

Lookie over here! I’m excited about the new machine - Spin-Cast-o-Rama-here-for-all-ya! For the love of liquid metal, centrifugal force, and a little tilt of the wrist. I have about 30 old, curious and fun molds to pour into to discover the imagery and shapes for belt buckles, rings, charms and pendants. I’m excited to create new work and the possibilities involved with this mold-making and metal casting process. I definitely need to acquire a cotton candy machine to spin the sugars alongside the metals.
