James Ellis is an English teacher, Special Education teacher, track coach, Drama Club advisor—and now—a Fox9 Top Teacher.

At a surprise assembly today, Mr. Ellis got a check for $1,000 and a pizza party for his class. A group of Olson families nominated Ellis because “his door is always open for mentoring and tutoring on and off the clock, and he provides a safe space for students to go when they are in need or a snack, hug or a place to rest.”
