Every time a child logs on to the internet without guardrails, they're entering a neighborhood we've never seen, one with no familiar streets, no known neighbors, and no way to know who's watching.

This June, we're recognizing Internet Safety Month because internet safety isn't a dream that will happen someday. It's a community responsibility.

At Zero Abuse Project, we work alongside and help support the investigators, prosecutors, and law enforcement who see the worst of what happens in that invisible neighborhood. We also work with parents, teachers, and caregivers who are trying to make it safer before anything even has to be investigated.
Internet Safety Month is your chance to take action and help create a safer online world for kids.

Here's how:
1. Have one real conversation with a kid about what they're seeing online and how they can stay safe
2. Share one of our resources with a parent, teacher, or caregiver who needs it
3. If you're able, help us keep this work going for the families and communities who need it most

Every kid deserves a world free from abuse and that world is built by communities like ours, one conversation, one resource, and one act of support at a time. This June, let's build it together!

Over the last 18 months, Zero Abuse Project's ICAC Training & Technology program trained 3,178 professionals in cryptocurrency tracing, Dark Web investigations, digital forensics, and more delivering 155 training events and 142 case consultations across 35 states. Now, that work is at risk.

Zero Abuse Project lost funding for this critical program and thousands of investigators who fight online child exploitation need your help to keep this training alive.

For nearly four years, Zero Abuse Project has been on the front lines of something most people never see.

Our ICAC program trains the investigators who track predators, trace cryptocurrency, and save children from sextortion schemes before a crisis becomes a tragedy.

Last month, we learned our funding won't be renewed. This May, we will be sharing more about the ICAC program and how you can join us as we build a world where every child is free from abuse.

Some stories stay with you forever.

We’re honored to feature Martin Moran, longtime friend of Zero Abuse Project, supporter of 1in6, and creator of The Tricky Part, in a powerful new conversation on our YouTube channel.

Marty’s story has helped countless survivors feel seen, while challenging communities to better understand the lifelong impact of abuse and the possibility of healing.

His work is also utilized in our CAST program, helping prepare future child protection professionals with empathy, awareness, and survivor-centered understanding.

Throughout Child Abuse Prevention Month, we've shared the work happening every day to protect children.

You've met:
- educators helping families prevent abuse
- investigators fighting online exploitation
- prosecutors pursuing justice
- professionals trained to support children when they speak up
programs supporting survivors on their healing journey

As we wrap up this important month, board member and licensed psychotherapist Diba Kaya reminds us that this work continues year-round, through education, research, advocacy, and technology that reaches communities across the country.

Protecting children requires communities, professionals, and organizations working together.
If you believe every child deserves safety and protection, you can help continue this work.

Every child deserves to grow up safe, supported, and free to just be a kid.

In 2025, we showed up for survivors, for families, and for the professionals on the frontlines. The work doesn't stop, and neither do we.
- 7,000+ professionals trained.
- 52,500 reached through SurvivorSpace.
- 1,359 male survivors supported through 1in6, a 25% jump in engagement.
- 93 cents of every dollar straight to programs.

This is what your support makes possible.

During National Crime Victims' Rights Week, we were reminded of something simple but powerful: support for survivors doesn't happen in a single moment. It happens through consistent action, education, and access to resources.

At Zero Abuse Project, that work shows up every day, through the professionals we train, the tools we build, and the survivors we support.

Thank you for being part of this. Whether you engage with our resources, support our mission, or help spread awareness, you are part of a growing effort to protect children and support survivors.

Together, we move closer to a world free from abuse.
