After 6 years the city of Minneapolis has yet to make the necessary changes to keep the community safe. We still have politicians pushing for police reform, prioritizing funding for police, and paying for violence instead of supporting the community. Don’t be fooled, our neighbors are still oppressed and being brutalized by the police.
George Floyd and all the people murdered by police deserve better. Say his name today and every day until we are all free.
Join the fight and show up for our community.

BRAPB is deeply concerned and outraged by the recent arrest of Georgia Fort, a respected independent journalist and member of the St. Paul community. Georgia Fort has spent years building a career in courageous, principled journalism, elevating under‑reported voices, documenting issues of public concern, and holding institutions and power to account with integrity and care.
Her arrest due to her coverage of a protest at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota raises serious concerns about press freedom, the treatment of journalists under our Constitution, and the chilling effect this action has on independent reporting. Journalists play an essential role in ensuring transparency and accountability in our society; arresting reporters for doing their job undermines the foundations of a free press and a democratic community and sets a dangerous precedent for all members of the media.
BRAPB stands firmly with Georgia Fort, who serves the public interest by bearing witness to events as they unfold and providing information that might otherwise go unreported. We demand assurances that press freedoms are protected and to affirm the constitutional rights of journalists to report freely without fear of arrest, intimidation, or retaliation. Those entrusted with public authority must recognize that protecting a free and independent press is fundamental to our democratic society.
Our free and independent press is vital to a healthy democracy and that freedom must be vigorously upheld and defended.

Stand up and fight back for your friends, neighbors and community. Find a way to get connected and support your neighbors who are being terrorized by ICE. Whether you’re delivering groceries, showing up for community patrols, marshaling for protests, or interrupting operations across the cities, we see you and we thank you for being part of the resistance. When we fight, we win!
