My apologies to all
Due to some life happenings that I have had to focus on I have not been able to do any planning for a get together for this year
I am hopeful that all will be resolved in early 26 and then the class can decide on trying something for next year or put it off until 30 for the 50th
Again my apologies and I wish you all a wonderful holiday season and finish to this year

The link below will take you to a Podcast that I was a part of. After almost 40 years from my graduation from Brown Institute I am putting some of my schooling to use. Not sure that it will get me a job with a Network but it was a lot of fun for me to get the opportunity to have a conversation with one of the Stanley Cup keepers. We have done several others including one with a Gold Medalist skater from Canada and a member of the 1980 US mens figure skating team.
If you have an interest in Zamboni machines, there are several on different aspects and features of our machines that can be found on YouTube and a variety of other sources.

Well, have any of you had any fun for the last 2 months or so?
With all that is going on in the world and due to the CV, the reunion committee has decided that we do not think that we will be able to put on the event that we would like to for our 40th reunion.
This is not the decision that any of us wanted to arrive at, but feel that it is in everyone's best interests based on what is going on in the world right now.
For those that are coming from out of town, they may not be able to get to MN.
Some people might be required to self quarantine upon their return home. Some people might be uncomfortable being around crowds or people who have traveled.
The list could go on and on but we think that you all get the problems that we would be faced with in trying to get together this summer.
At this time we are not even sure that we could get the location that we selected to host us.
So with all this said, we are going to aim for 2021 where it will be a 40+1 celebration for the Class of 1980.
We are going to look at some other options that will hopefully enable us to get together virtually on or near our planned date in August. Stay tuned for more details on that soon.
We hope that all of our classmates will understand this decision and we wish you the best during these trying times.
Please stay sane and healthy and kind.
Please check the class page to see the update on the how and when we will have a virtual get-together.
Well fellow class of 1980 graduates, here starts the process of getting you all ready to attend and enjoy our 40th year reunion of our graduation from Roosevelt High School. Hard to believe it was 40 years ago this June that we said goodbye to those hallowed halls.
40 years ago this month a 1978 graduate from RHS was part of the greatest sports feat of our lifetimes in the little hamlet of Lake Placid NY.
40 years ago the Minnesota North Stars existed, the Minnesota Wild, the Dallas Stars and the Anaheim Ducks did not. Lots of change!!!
40 years ago the Vikings had not won a Super Bowl, 40 years later they still have not won a Super Bowl
Some things do not change.
40 years seems to have flown by.
Some of our class sadly will not be able to attend.
But for those of us still walking this earth, there is no reason I can think of for you not to want to get together and relive our youth and share the life experiences that we have had.
Those of us with kids may now have grandkids that we can now brag about.
Maybe you are now part of the 7 day weekend plan or it is a bright light on the horizon.
I for one want to hear all the stories and make some new ones.
Rekindle friendships, or create a new one or several.
Please save the date of 8-29-20.
Post 3-3-20 we will be letting you know the costs and the deadline to beat to get the absolute best price on this great event.
Life has played some of its cards and we need to reach out again to those that are willing to be of some help with this event.
We need some people on the ground in MN to help with the event details and as we would really like to make sure that no stone is unturned in making all classmates aware of this event, please let us know if you can offer some help in locating those that are not part of this group.
Please respond directly to this post and we will be getting the ball rolling early next month.
Any questions?? Please fire away.
Please sign up early to avoid the constant messaging from me asking if you have your ticket to the greatest event to happen in 2020!!!
Show the Teddie Spirit and be a part of a fun filled evening!!
