It’s Student Council Election Season! 🗳️⭐️

Our candidates are already hard at work preparing for election! They’ve turned in their applications and written responses to Mrs. Nixon, and are now gearing up for the next steps. Students will be campaigning with homemade posters and preparing for their interviews as they work toward becoming our next Student Council leaders.

We are so proud of these students for stepping up, showing leadership, and being willing to serve our school! 👏🎉

Student Council members got creative with a rock painting activity focused on spreading kindness! 🎨

Students painted rocks with messages of encouragement and positivity, and we are planning to hide them around campus soon for others to find. The goal? To brighten someone’s day and remind everyone that they are capable of great things!

Be on the lookout—you never know when you might find a little message that makes you smile. 😊

Last Friday we had a 🌊“Splash-tastic”🌊 time at the waterpark! We ended an awesome week full of LEADERSHIP, FRIENDSHIP, and SERVICE! Stay tuned to see how these little leaders change the world this upcoming school year!

☀️Leadership Camp - Day Four Recap☀️

We ended the day with each team having 8 points. We will hold a tie-breaker challenge tomorrow.😱 During these challenges, we have learned how to listen to others, utilize everyone’s strengths, and the difference between being a leader and being bossy. We can’t wait to see which team takes home the win!🥇

Today we…
♦️painted flower pots to fill with flowers to take to the local nursing homes.
♦️finished filming our “Back to School” video with Mr. Acker! We can’t wait for you to see!
♦️competed in a “tower power” challenge where only one student was allowed to speak at a time.
♦️had a guest speaker, Mr. Dyhre, share about the economic development within our community! We learned that our town is the place to be and we are excited for the future growth.
♦️enjoyed DOUBLE the amount of delicious donuts! Thank you Mr. Devenport and Mr. Dyhre!
♦️finished the rest of the rocks to hide around campus tomorrow.
♦️the chicken dance! These kids crack me up!😂
♦️sorted through situations to determine the difference between a leader and a boss.

☀️Leadership Camp - Day Three Recap☀️

We had another FULL day of ✨FUN✨! Currently, our 5th and 6th grade teams are tied in the minute-to-win-it teamwork challenges. Which grade will bring home the 🏆GOLD🏆?!

Today we…
♦️painted encouraging rocks to hide around school.🎨
♦️competed in the “waddle” and “squish”relays!
♦️continued making more friendship bracelets to distribute the first day of school.
♦️brainstormed persuasive reasons to encourage new members to join STUCO.
♦️wrote “just because” letters/postcards to members within the community. 💌📫
♦️assembled goodie bags to hand out at the upcoming 4th Grade Scavenger Hunt. 🛍️
♦️started decorating our STUCO bulletin board.
♦️got messy when each student got to tie-dye their new officer/ambassador shirts.🌈
♦️cooled down with some water challenges.🥵💦
♦️finished any individual projects from previous days.

We are sad that we only have two more days but can’t wait to see what these leaders accomplish this next school year!
