Pacific Possible: Education 05/30/2025

Tekoi Thursday: Education is valued.
As Pacific Islanders, education is important to us. It is a doorway to opportunity, stability, and growth for us and our families. All too often, our students and families face a bias that education is not as important as family. The reality is that family and education are both valued equally for different reasons, with education and family being interdependent.

Hawaiʻi has such a diverse community of people. That rich diversity has been infused into many different aspects of life, especially the food. Some families have their own recipes for this dish that get passed down. This is a dish that is relatively quick and can be prepared in large batches to feed many people. Enjoy!
