Reel Women is a UWM student organization created as a safe space for all genders to begin a dialogue about the inequalities within the film industry

Reel Women is a film community established to create a safe space for all genders to begin a dialogue about the disparities and inequalities within the film industry and what can be done to facilitate change. It seeks to educate, empower and support marginalized student filmmakers before entering the film industry so they have the tools and the confidence to thrive.

Reel Women members and anyone interested in joining our club! Tonight we'll be screening The Babadook at 6PM in the basement of Mitchell Hall, room B-75. Come on down and and break into Halloween season with club members and club officers! Reel Women is open to all genders and is welcoming new members. This year our club wants to hold production workshops, pop-up filmmaking events, animation activities and more. Reel Women seeks to educate, empower and support marginalized student filmmakers before entering the film industry so they have the tools and the confidence to thrive.

Can you believe it’s the end of the semester!? - We want to inform you that our last meeting for fall will be next Wednesday, December 11th. Important to note that we are meeting a little earlier than usual. Come have some fun and wish each other a Happy Holiday! ⛄️🎄
