Join Roslyn Fitzgibbons, Elise Radawitz, and Danielle Wernert for this one-hour masterclass designed to show contractors a more complete approach to developing managers in the trades.

What You'll Walk Away With:

✅ A Better Leadership Framework: Understand why capable managers need leadership development, operational skills, and the ability to develop people around them.

✅ Practical Tools: Leave with ideas and frameworks you can begin using with your team immediately.

✅ A Clear Development Path: See how Built to Lead brings the pieces of manager development together into one structured experience instead of forcing contractors to find them across multiple programs.

Thanks to Kreadiv for producing the webinar and to Upskilled Consulting, LLC , Bring Your Moxie for collaborating.

We don't have a technician problem, a sales problem or even a labor problem in the trades.

We have a leadership problem.

Built to Lead Academy was specifically created to take managers on a 12-week journey to develop their self-leadership and management skills.

We cannot expect what we don't equip.

Myself, Roslyn Fitzgibbons (who's featured in the video below and started Eco Plumbers with her brother) and Wernert (who created the Top Tech Academy at Peterman Brothers) are all coaching and leading this program.

TOMORROW we're leading a FREE one-hour masterclass starting 1pm CT/2pm ET as we share what the Built to Lead Academy is all about and it gives a playbook for leaders in the trades to lead better.

I don't record videos to hear myself talk.

I don't lead workshops for the applause or stage.

I do it to serve others and create a place for them to share and grow themselves.

The highest compliment I can receive is someone share how the training they participated in changed their life.

The manager who tells me his wife says I've "lightened up and am happier when I'm home".

The owner who says his marriage is stronger because he "listens better, slows down and asks better questions instead of trying to solve".

The manager who was unsure of stepping into the new role and "not being a nag when holding people accountable..and now I know that I'm helping them win their day and that feels great. They're coming to me more, sharing things with me they didn't before."

The inner work (like working on your mindset and the stories you tell yourself) have to be done so you can THINK differently to SHOW UP differently.

I'm insanely grateful for the work I am blessed to do in this industry. It's life giving.

If you're wondering about what it means to level up your leadership, join us for a FREE value-driven masterclass this Wednesday as we share what the Built to Lead Academy is all about.

Promoting your best technician does not automatically make them a leader.

Great technicians are promoted because they know the work.

Then they are expected to communicate clearly, navigate difficult conversations, hold people accountable, and lead a team without ever being taught how.

That is the gap Built to Lead Academy was created to close.

On September 2, we're joining Roslyn Fitzgibbons of Bring Your Moxie and Danielle Wernert of Upskilled Consulting, LLC for a free masterclass designed specifically for trades owners and managers.

What You'll Walk Away With:

✅ A Better Leadership Framework: Understand why capable managers need leadership development, operational skills, and the ability to develop people around them.

If your company is promoting strong performers and asking them to figure leadership out on their own, join us.

Pressure isn't development. Neither is hoping your new manager figures it out on the job.

Most techs get promoted because they were great in the field, then get handed a title with zero training on how to lead people. They're left guessing, and so is your team.

Built to Lead Academy fixes that with a real structure.

Twelve weeks, three phases: think like a leader, run like an operator, build like a coach.

Practical tools they can use the next day, not theory they forget in a week.

Watch the clip and see how it works.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "It's not what's taught. It's what's caught"?

I think about that often when I'm working with leadership teams.

Anyone can teach someone how to use software, follow a process, or complete a checklist. Those are skills.

What's much harder to teach is how to show up.

I just finished reading, “You Go First” by Rhonda Conger, reminds us that leadership starts with us. Before we ask more of our people, we should ask more of ourselves.

At the end of the day, try giving yourself a simple leadership audit:
1️⃣ Did I hold myself accountable today?
2️⃣ Did I protect time for what mattered most?
3️⃣ Did I invest in my people?
4️⃣ Did I show up with the kind of energy I hope my team brings tomorrow?

Leadership isn't about perfection, it's about consistency. Because your team is always watching.

And they're much more likely to catch your habits than remember your words.

Keeping leading well, my friends! ✌️
