Growing your home service business starts with growing your people.

Most owners pour energy into marketing, tech, and equipment. But the real bottleneck is usually on the team side.

Miscommunication between your CSRs and techs or dispatchers and techs.

Managers who were great in the field but struggle to lead people. Crew members who just don't click.

DiSC gives your whole team a shared language for how they communicate, give feedback, and work together.

One workshop. Real results.
If you want to see how this could work for your company, reach out and let's set up a call to talk through it.

Drop "DISC" in the comments and I'll send you my DISC communication style cheat sheet.

He didn't just want better employees. He wanted better men.

Doug went first. He took the DiSC assessment, got honest about his own style, and brought his whole team through the same process.

That decision gave his people something most training programs never do (but ours do!): permission to grow as humans, not just as workers.

In the trades, we talk a lot about culture and accountability.

But it starts with the owner being willing to model what he's asking of others.

Your team is not underperforming because of a skill gap.

More often, it's a collaboration gap.

Most service companies are full of talented people working in silos. Everyone doing their own thing, protecting their own lane, waiting to be told what to do instead of working together toward the same goal.

That's not a people problem. That's a leadership and culture problem.

When your team actually collaborates, productivity doesn't just improve. It multiplies.

Watch the clip and think about where silos might be quietly costing you.

We’ve proudly partnered with Grandy & Associates since the very beginning to deliver outstanding education to the industry.

Especially for those who are brand new to HVAC—we’ve sent over our distributors who have new counter people or office staff AND some of our contractor clients who have new team members coming with no industry knowledge so they can feel more confident in their roles.

When a standard comes from the top and gets handed down, people follow it when someone's watching.

When no one is, it slides. Not because they're bad employees. Because it was never their standard.

A simple shift changes everything: bring your team into the conversation.

Ask them what good looks like.
Write it down.
Get their agreement.

Now when you call it out, you're not enforcing your rule. You're reminding them of their own word.

That's accountability that actually sticks.

Your best tech is not automatically your best leader.

We keep promoting high performers into management and wondering why things fall apart.

The problem is not their work ethic. It is that leading people requires a completely different skill set than doing the work.

The determining factor is self-awareness. A manager who can regulate their own emotions and navigate their own mindset first is the one who can actually coach their team through the hard stuff.

Watch the clip and think about who you recently promoted.

Not all shout outs land the same way.

Not because you don't care.

Because you're giving it the same way to everyone, and that's not how people work.

What makes one person feel genuinely seen will completely miss another. And if you're leading a team in the trades, you don't have time for recognition that falls flat.

DISC gives you a simple framework to make it land every time.

High D? Short and tied to results.
High I? Make it public and celebratory.
High S? Private and sincere.
High C? Get specific about what they did and why it mattered.

Watch the clip and think about one person on your team who's overdue for a real moment of recognition.

Then go make it happen!
