A Female Eastern Bluebird among the blooms!

While I have many favorite birds, when asked which bird is my favorite the eastern bluebird often comes to mind.
Generally I share more photos of the male bluebirds as they are more vibrantly colorful, however the female bluebirds are also very pretty birds.
Over the years we have done a lot of habitat work here on the property with creating native prairies & oak savannas. Two habitat types that are favored by bluebirds (among many other wildlife species), as they like open areas with insects to eat.

The first three years we moved up here we had one nesting pair of bluebirds every year. I was excited last year that there were two nesting bluebird pairs.
Now for the first time this year, there is currently FOUR pairs of nesting bluebirds on the property!
Two of these bluebird pairs have chicks in the nest, ready to fledge soon, while the other two are sitting on full clutches of eggs.
I will share a photo (in the comments section) of this female bluebirds chicks in the nest box. I just checked this box earlier today and it looks like the young bluebirds should be fledgling (leaving the nest) any day now.
Bluebirds generally have two broods per year, so at this rate there could be a whole lot of bluebirds flying around here this year!
