Healing isn’t only sitting with what hurt you.
Sometimes it looks like lacing up your shoes, taking the trail, and remembering that your body belongs to you: not to the emergencies, expectations, or needs of everyone around you.
There is a version of you beyond the role you’ve been carrying:
The fixer.
The reliable one.
The woman who keeps adjusting herself so everyone else can remain comfortable.
She is still there.
Move slowly or boldly. Explore somewhere new. Let sunlight meet your face. Do something that has no purpose beyond making you feel present in your own life.
You do not have to earn your independence by disappearing from the people you love. You can care deeply without abandoning yourself.
Healing is not becoming untouched by life. It is returning to it: with boundaries, choice, and your own name in the story.
