Today is World Photography Day. The first photograph ever was made 184 years ago this day. Yes, the Daguerreotype.
Without that first photo, you wouldn’t have that killer camera in your pocket.
What are you gonna make with it today to celebrate?
Post your photo of the day in comments below if you are so inclined. I’d love to see it.

Great fun this afternoon doing a 1:1 iPhone photography workshop with Betsy down at the lake. She’s got a trip coming up and wanted to brush up and hone in on some things after taking my group class in the past. Today we focused on “finding the photo” through perspective and composition. We talked about the difference between taking photos of what we see as opposed to making photos of what we feel when we see.
She went home with a few perspective limbering exercises and is looking forward to our next session where we walk through the necessity of processing (aka editing) your photos to bring them back to what inspired you to take them in the first place.
