This week's joke
WHEN HUMOR LIFTS MY SPIRIT.
I have a positive attitude about 98% of the time. That means that there are occasional days when I have a less than positive outlook when I go to work.
On those days when my outlook is negative, I continue to offer my pizza delivery customers a joke at the door. Perhaps the first few customers do not see me at my best. After 3 or 4 customers, I find that my spirit becomes more positive. In this way, humor lifts MY spirit.
When I share my humor with my customers, it puts me in a better mood. Perhaps it is similar to the way the sharing of a smile makes everyone happier.

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE DELIVERY: Many of you know that I pay my bills delivering pizza. About three years ago, I was leaving on a delivery close to the restaurant. I joked to the Assistant Manager, "I hope I don't get lost on this delivery!"
The Assistant Manager replied jokingly, "If you don't get back (in a reasonable time), we will send out a search party."
On THAT delivery, I saw a Saint Bernard. I don't recall seeing that dog in the neighborhood before. With the history of the Saint Bernard in Alpine rescue, I got a good laugh out of that event.
