It’s been a little while since we’ve shared an update, so we wanted to say Hello and wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Last year, we shared photos of our students working on individual glass tiles. This year, those pieces were finally brought together to create this beautiful dragonfly mosaic.✨️

It was so special to see their hard work come full circle and to give the kids time to create, slow down, and just be kids... something that means a lot when they often have so much on their plates.

We’re so proud of them and grateful for moments like this. 🤍

Back in April, most of our students took part in CPR and First Aid training to get certified.

They did an awesome job! Each student was super engaged, asking tons of great questions, and really taking it seriously.👏

I’m so proud of them for wanting to learn these life-saving skills. It’s great to see them step up and show how much they care about being prepared to help others!☺️

CSIU to Host The Human Experience Summer Camp – FREE for Students in Grades 7–12!

The Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit is proud to host The Human Experience, a four-day, immersive summer program designed to foster connection, self-awareness, and community-building among students through a blend of educational training, leadership development, and theatrical experiences.

🕘 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Central Susquehanna LPN Career Center– 15 Lawton Lane, Milton, PA
🎓 Open to students entering grades 7–12 in the 2025–26 school year
💵 FREE to participate through support from the Project AWARE Grant
🍽️ Students should bring a packed lunch each day
🚍 Transportation is not provided

Let’s empower our youth to connect, lead, and thrive.

The students had the opportunity to learn about the art of creating glass mosaics!

Each student had the chance to cut glass and create their own glass tile, based off of their own interests.

The individual glass tiles will then be assembled to create a larger mosaic, which will be an image of a dragonfly surrounded by flowers.

It's such a fun, creative outlet! Here is a sneak peak of some of the students putting their artistic abilities to work!😊

The Beyond Boundaries program was created this past school year to provide an educational setting that feels a bit more like home. Welcoming. Comfy. Cozy. Safe.

Bean bags, floor chairs, couches (not pictured). ..these comfy pieces of furniture are just a few of the components that help to make the Beyond Boundaries program different.

While we value education and while it is at the forefront of our mission, the Beyond Boundaries Program focuses on the mental health and wellbeing of our students FIRST. Academics follow.

Many of the students within our program are at risk youth. It is our goal to provide these students with an educational setting that meets their needs and works for them.

Within our program, we focus on building relationships with our students. We listen. We value. We empathize. We work together. We respect. Our student's voices matter, regardless of their past or their present. THIS is the main component to our program that sets it apart.

Here at the Beyond Boundaries Program, we are blessed to have many services at our finger tips for our students. Weekly groups and individual meetings with our social worker, career and goal planning with our guidance counselor, first aid certifications, Serve Safe certifications, Drivers Education, and so much more. Something new and exciting for this coming school year is a mental health clinic that will be located right beside our classroom, for any students who need it!

As far as academics go, the students complete their work through cyber programming. They are provided with daily academic goals and have the opportunity to graduate early if they so wish. Their education is in their control, all while having the support within a pretty cool and laid back academic setting.

Our program runs Monday-Friday, 9-1, and the students even have the opportunity to earn Fridays off! Again, giving them control of their educational goals.

We are committed to ensure that every single student who walks through our doors knows they are worthy of happiness, trust, respect, love, friendship, healthy relationships, healing, forgiveness, peace, and PURPOSE. 🤍
