I took a leap of faith last year when I said yes to a business that I really knew nothing about. I was worried about what people would think, what they would say, how would I have the time, who would want to buy anything from me. I am an accounting professional I have s career! What am I thinking….

Well let me tell you honeyyyyy this opportunity has changed my life! It gave me things that I didn’t know I needed…. I found a passion that I didn’t know I had, to be able to impact others. It gave me a community during a pandemic that I didn’t know was missing. It gave me time to pause and be with my family in a way that I was never present to before.

Within 5 months I ripped off the bandage and said good bye to the stress my corporate career was causing me, I said goodbye to feeling trapped. I said goodbye to being limited financially. I said goodbye to not being able to attend school functions or have my kids in extracurricular activities because time wouldn’t permit.

It was scary and it took me 7 months to finally say yes! However there is one thing that I always knew when something makes you uncomfortable and you feel resistant there is something waiting for you on the other side.

As a mama of four and one of them being a newborn, it’s hard to find ANY time for self care. However, even if it’s just one thing a day for just five mins-DO IT! It can be something as small as applying lipstick, combing your hair, taking a hot shower, reading a book, connecting with God. Most importantly, give yourself grace and don’t focus on what you didn’t do. Concentrate on what you are doing and give yourself a high five girl!!! You are amazing. 💋
