Wishing all our students, families/caregivers, staff, and community a safe and joyful Independence Day! ❤️🤍💙

Today, as our nation marks its 250th birthday, we pause to reflect on the people, stories, sacrifices, and ideals that have shaped the United States across generations.

This milestone invites us not only to celebrate, but also to remember that the promise of America has always been carried forward by those committed to freedom, equality, community, and the ongoing pursuit of a more perfect union.

As we look ahead to the next chapter of our nation’s story, may we continue to find strength in one another, hope in our shared future, and purpose in our commitment to the students and future generations who will help shape what comes next.

At our June School Board meeting held this week, we took time to recognize two individuals whose service has left a lasting mark on Fife Public Schools.

We extend our sincere appreciation to graduating Student Representative Jacob Connaway for his two years of service on the Board. Jacob brought thoughtful perspective, student voice, and a strong commitment to representing his peers at each meeting, and we are grateful for the way he represented Fife High School and the students of our district. Congratulations, Jacob! We are excited to see what comes next for you!

We also honored Dr. Kevin Alfano as he concludes an extraordinary 28 years of service to Fife Public Schools and becomes the new Superintendent of the Puyallup School District on July 1. Dr. Alfano’s journey in Fife has included serving five years as a teacher at Fife High School, four years as Dean of Students at Surprise Lake Middle School, one year as Assistant Principal at Columbia Junior High, five years as Principal at Endeavour Intermediate, one year as Assistant Superintendent, and 12 years as Superintendent.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alfano has led with heart, vision, and an unwavering commitment to students, staff, families, and the Fife community. His impact will be felt for years to come.

Thank you, Jacob and Dr. Alfano, for your service, leadership, and dedication to Fife Public Schools. You will be missed!

🎓 Congratulations to the 💙Class of 2026💛!

Last night’s graduation was a perfect sendoff for our Fife High School graduates - and a moving reminder of just how much this class has accomplished and how much promise lies ahead.

To our graduates: we are so proud of you and excited to see the impact you will make in the world. To the families & caregivers, district staff, friends, and loved ones who supported them along the way: thank you for your encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support that helped make this milestone possible.

To the Class of 2026, "As you step into tomorrow and all that’s unknown, just remember one thing - Fife will always be home.”
