They called him a kook. A snake oil salesman.

Ron Davis had no degree in education. No credentials in dyslexia (other than being dyslexic himself). Just an idea and $100 of equipment.

So he proved it himself. With a spinning spiral, a stopwatch, and a tape recorder, he tested nearly 50 people and showed that dyslexia symptoms come from disorientation, not brain malfunction.

The establishment ridiculed him. Decades later, his discovery became the foundation of a method that transforms lives.

Real people, real and amazing results!

Jack took a program with Davis Facilitator Lynn Chigounis when he was 7. Now he is off to Law School.

Here's the story:

Jack did a Davis® Mastery for Dyslexia program with me 15 years ago when he was just seven years old. He graduated this spring from college with a 3.91 GPA, and is going to Boston University School of Law in the fall, on a full tuition scholarship! His mother said he loves reading, and that I was integral to his success, the program we did with you was the first step. We laughed about his ride home from the first day with me. His mother said he read a sign on the way home for the first time, laughing in the back seat, “Babies R Us!”

🌟Hard work and endless effort shouldn't lead to a dead end.

Facilitator Friday: Joanna's brother struggled with undiagnosed dyslexia and ADHD for years. That lack of support shaped her mission: ensure neurodivergent learners get what he didn't.

With 20 years in healthcare, Joanna understands the neurological and developmental processes that shape learning. But her deeper drive comes from personal experience. Watching her brother face challenges without awareness or support lit a fire. She became a licensed Davis Facilitator to offer the understanding, tools, and encouragement others didn't have.

She works with children and adults across reading, attention, dyslexia, and math programs. A 12-year-old completed the ADD program and immediately started focusing better at school. Teachers noticed the shift. A client named Julia worked through the dyslexia and math programs, fascinated by learning with clay and Koosh balls. Her mom wrote: "You have the passion for the work and Julia will benefit immensely from the instructions you provided."

Joanna deeply believes dyslexia is a gift, not a deficit. She creates space where learners feel respected, valued, and supported. She helps them embrace their unique thinking style while building lasting confidence in their abilities.
She works in person, travels to clients, and offers online programs in New Jersey and beyond.

He was illiterate at eight. By day three of the program, he was reading.

James was bright and imaginative. He was also autistic, with ADHD and severe dyslexia. At eight years old, he couldn't read.

His mum Nicola had tried everything. Remedial schools. One-on-one facilitators. Anxiety treatment. Play therapy. Nothing stuck.

Then James worked with Davis facilitator Axel for nine days.

By day three, James could name every alphabet letter forwards and backwards. He started reading on his own — something Nicola had never imagined possible.

But the reading was just the beginning.

James started understanding cause and effect. He recognised when his words hurt someone and apologised on his own. He went from avoiding writing to independently writing a Mother's Day letter telling his parents they were "the greatest."
