Zander Perioperative Nurse Educator provides comprehensive, specialized education to nurses and surgical technologists in Perioperative services, focusing on self-learning, professional goals, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Program Development: Develop and implement evidence-based, specialized surgical services education curricula in collaboration with the ZPE team for individuals and groups of pre, intra and post operative staff.
Coaching and Support: Answer questions and adjust study plans in collaboration with nurses nationwide to help them achieve their professional certifications and to ensure safe consistent care based on best practice.
Travel and teach: Travel to locations around the US twice a month to provide on-location courses.
Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation and contact hours for all educational courses.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s or Master’s in nursing
Certification: Certified in Perianesthesia and OR nursing. (CNOR and either CPAN, CAPA or both)
Experience: Clinical experience in Perianesthesia and OR nursing. Scrub experience preferred.
Skills: Performance / speaking skills are necessary. Speaking, acting or comedic experience should be emphasized on your resume.
Typical Working Environment
This position is remote work from a home office maintained by the candidate after an initial set up allowance of $2000. High speed internet required.
Twice a month travel to locations within the US to teach in front of a classroom. This is almost always over the weekend. Travel allowance of $1500 per course is provided.
Starting salary $85,000
