Semper Primus Chess Camp

We are ecstatic about the success of the first annual Semper Primus Chess Camp, but equally sad that it is over :(. Thank you to our wonderful campers for joining us this week - we had a wonderful time with you!

Our campers spent each day playing multiple different styles of chess, and learning new skills from a National Master (special thanks to Michael Cook - Chess Director for organizing all said tournaments). All of the tournaments they played were rated, so campers were always ready to play another match. Days filled with chess are days filled with joy!

Most importantly, our campers made friendships to last a lifetime (thank goodness for chess.com so our campers can still play together until next year!). We hope to see YOU at Semper Primus Chess Camp 2025!

We've had a wonderful first three days at the first annual Semper Primus Chess Camp! We've spent our days playing six total hours of tournaments, along with two hours of direct advice from a national master!
Of course, with all of this chess, campers get free time to explore campus! They have played basketball, ping pong, and taken walks by the pond. Some campers even choose to spend their free time playing more chess (we can't blame them, it is chess camp after all!).
This morning campers had the option to try our campus' ropes course, and many made it up the 35ft rock wall to brave the scary obstacles.
We are bummed that there are only two days left of camp, but are already gearing up for Semper Primus Chess Camp 2025!
