Wellness Wednesday | Sometimes Wellness Looks Like This…
I haven’t shown up much on Facebook this week.
I haven’t talked about my work, promoted what I’m creating, or checked off everything on my list.
Instead, I’ve been Grandma. ❤️
My two baby boys are sick, and right now, being present for them comes first.
There are seasons when wellness looks like meal prepping, movement, meditation, or keeping the promises we’ve made to ourselves.
And then there are moments when wellness simply means recognizing what matters most right now—and giving ourselves permission to be there.
This week, nourishment looks different for me.
It looks like caring for little bodies that don’t feel well.
It looks like comfort, patience, rest, something warm to eat, and Grandma being close by.
It looks like slowing down instead of trying to keep up.
And it looks like reminding myself that I don't have to be productive every moment for my time to have value.
This is part of what Mindful Nourishment means to me.
Nourishment isn't only about what we put on our plates. It is also about what we give our attention to, how we care for ourselves and one another, and knowing when life is asking us to simply BE.
Sometimes self-care is doing something for yourself.
And sometimes self-care is releasing the pressure to do everything else so you can be fully present for what matters.
The work will still be there.
But these little boys won't always be little.
So this week, I’m choosing presence over productivity, love over obligation, and the sacred privilege of being Grandma. ❤️
Perhaps that is your Wellness Wednesday reminder too:
You are allowed to slow down.
You are allowed to rearrange the day.
You are allowed to nourish what matters most.
Mindful Nourishment begins in the soil, grows through the senses, and blooms in the spirit.
