* Building Empathy: Accessing & Increasing Your Empathy for Success – choose a 3 -or- 12.5-hour option to learn the science behind how empathy works so you can leverage this skill called by top corporations "the most important leadership skill."

Yesterday, we attended a meeting for adjuncts and course providers for Ashland University on the Butler Tech campus. It was highly informative, and we got to enjoy this fun "sculpture" on the light fixture – inspiring messages from previous visitors 👏🏽

Magnify currently offers two career development programs: Beyond the Classroom: Skills for Success, which is a 50-hour class for high school students teaching key durable skills like interviewing, networking, communication, leadership, and more; and Building Empathy: Accessing & Increasing Your Empathy For Success, a 12.5 hour examination of the science behind how empathy works – how our eyes, ears, brains, and DNA work together to help – or hinder – our connections with others. We're excited to announce we're a FINALIST in the 2025 Best in Ohio Business competition in the Workforce Development Program category! 🎉 The competition is hosted by Ohio Business Magazine. Voting opens MONDAY, SEPT 29 at 3 pm; you may vote once a day, and we'd really appreciate your support! 🙏🏽

We are thrilled to announce that we are now offering a 1-credit graduate class for educators through Ashland University! This course earns credit toward renewals, pay increases, job advancement, and counts toward your Master's +15 or 30.

Course description: Being able to use and increase your empathy is crucial to connecting with students and fostering their success. Building Empathy: Accessing & Increasing Your Empathy to Enhance Classroom Success approaches empathy as not only a trait, but a skill, examining the science behind how empathy works: how our eyes, ears, brains, and DNA work together to help – or hinder – how we connect with and understand others. This course provides you with tools for self-reflection and analysis, assisting you in uncovering subconscious blocks and teaching you how to overcome these obstacles to increase overall learning. This engaging course is fully animated, featuring fictional beings from other planets to enhance learning with this science-based topic (plus, it’s fun!), and the real-life vignettes are set in and around a high school, to ensure that even if you haven’t experienced one of the situations, you know someone who has.
