Impact in Action: Representing at the Texas Statewide Impact Summit!

Jordan Clack and Shannon Torres had the opportunity to present at the Texas Statewide Impact Summit alongside Vickie Hayhurst from Region 14 ESC and Chris DeWitt from the Texas Education Agency.

We shared how nonprofits, ESCs, and state agencies can work together to support Rural Pathway Excellence Partnerships (R-PEPs) and expand opportunities for students across Texas.

We also enjoyed spending time collaborating with our partners at Region 18 ESC and learning from others who are committed to strengthening education and workforce pathways throughout the state.

Thankful for the opportunity to share, learn, and build connections that will help create even greater opportunities for students.

What an incredible and inspiring few days in Alpine at West Texas Rural Philanthropy Days 2026! 🌵✨

Shelby and Delma had a great time representing the Education Partnership of the Permian Basin at West Texas Rural Philanthropy Days in Alpine, TX! Three days of "Rooted in Reality: Cultivating Growth by Building Relationships and Community" gave us the chance to connect with funders and fellow nonprofits from across the region, building the partnerships that help us keep serving West Texas families. Grateful for the connections made and energized for what's next!

🎉Celebrating our childcare heroes!

On July 23, Early Matters Permian Basin hit the road for a celebration tour honoring childcare professionals receiving Wage Support through the Childcare Action Plan. We visited 5 of 8 participating centers to recognize educators for their dedication to Midland County's youngest learners. 💛

Each eligible provider will receive a $500 retention bonus, a small thank you for the big impact they make every day. And the celebration isn't over yet: a second round of evaluations is coming this fall, giving us another chance to honor our amazing providers!
None of this is possible without our incredible funders: the Abell-Hanger Foundation, the Scharbauer Foundation, and the Warren Charitable Foundation. Their investment is helping build a stronger future for the children and families of our region. 🙌

We're proud to share that BB-RISE Regional Director Jarrett Vickers recently testified before the Montana Legislative Interim Education Committee, where he highlighted the innovative work happening across the Big Bend.
Representing Alpine ISD, BB-RISE, and the Educational Partnership of the Permian Basin (EPPB), Mr. Vickers shared how regional collaboration is expanding career pathways, creating workforce opportunities, and transforming outcomes for rural students.

It's an honor to see the Big Bend recognized as a model for rural education innovation, proving what's possible when schools, higher education, employers, and community partners work together.
