COM Aquatics' Harper Diaz commits to Ouachita Baptist University - Permian Proud News and information showcasing local residents, events and organizations in the Permian Basin who make our community a special place to live.

🇺🇸𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗨𝗦𝗔 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀🇺🇸 Starting today through Tuesday, December 16, COM Aquatics, Inc. is hosting the 2025 USA Diving Winter National Championships. The competitions are open to the public and will help determine the 2026 USA Diving High Performance Squads. Both current and former COM Dive Team athletes will be competing in the event, including Lindyn Johnson, Emmah Rhines, Samm Helmboldt and EllieReese Niday.

That’s a number 5 for team Midland! 🙌 Congratulations Cora!

COM Aquatics announced that swimmer Cora Retzer has committed to continue her athletic career at Austin College.

This is the fifth collegiate commitment from COM Aquatics this season and the first NCAA swimming commitment from the Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) in Midland.

COM Swim Team Head Coach Mike Anzano noted Retzer’s positive attitude, strong work ethic, and love of racing.

🌟 Alumni Spotlight: Kanah Pumphrey 🌟

We’re proud to highlight one of our own, Kanah Pumphrey. She trained with COM Aquatics for years and is now continuing her diving career with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Her hard work and dedication were evident every day she trained here.

Kanah’s family has also been a big part of our community. The Pumphreys have volunteered at COM in so many ways, from helping with hospitality to working dive meets and supporting the program wherever needed. Even with Kanah in college, her mom is still helping us coordinate alumni events. She is also a member of our amazing COM Aquatics Adult Programs!

We’re grateful for everything this family has poured into COM and we’re excited to keep cheering for Kanah as she moves forward. 💛🖤
