UTPB Percussion Welcome to the official page for the University of Texas Permian Basin Percussion Studio. Falcons Up! Falcons Up!!

The University of Texas Permian Basin Percussion Studio is dedicated to the in-depth study and development of the percussive arts through performance and education. Performance opportunities for percussion students include Marching Band, Symphonic Winds, University Philharmonic Orchestra, Jazz Kettle, and Percussion Ensemble. The UTPB Percussion recently performed a Musical Showcase Concert at the 2022 Texas Music Educators Association in San Antonio, giving three world premieres of new percussion ensemble works. Alumni of our studio regularly perform and teach in many areas of the Permian Basin. In addition to our fantastic facilities, we have a plethora of high quality instruments, including Pearl Championship Marching Drums, Adams Philharmonic Dresden Timpani, and our NEW Adams Alpha 5.0 Octave Marimba. Please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Tim Feerst, Director of Percussion Studies, at [email protected] for more information.
