What if your income wasn’t completely dependent on you being there? 👀💻

No clients = no treatment income.
No training days = no training income.
No hours in the diary = no money coming in.

For years in beauty, we’re taught that the way to earn more is to DO more. More clients, more evenings, more Saturdays, more training dates.

But eventually, you run out of hours. ⏰

That doesn’t necessarily mean you need more clients.

It might mean your current business model is limiting you.

You’ve spent YEARS building your knowledge, perfecting your treatments, learning from mistakes and gaining experience. So why should that knowledge only make you money when you’re physically standing in front of somebody?

1st October and we’re already welcoming TWO new schools to IBA, and this one feels extra special because one of them started out as MY learner. Now I’m helping her launch her own beauty school. 🥹✨

Honestly, what a full-circle moment.

After 11 years in the beauty industry, I genuinely feel like I’ve found my calling.

DO WE REALLY NEED TO BE MEAN TO GO VIRAL? 👀

Can we not just be knowledgeable, professional and bloody good at what we do?

Your authority doesn’t have to come from embarrassing someone else. 👑

Since I’ve started working from home more and spending more time online, I’ve noticed this A LOT more 👀

When did being mean become a marketing strategy?

Calling other professionals out.

Publicly embarrassing people.

Picking apart somebody else’s work.

Making controversial videos just because you know the comments will go mad.

And I get it.

CONTROVERSY GETS VIEWS 📈

But do we really need to tear somebody else down to get them?

Can we not build authority by actually being bloody GOOD at what we do? 😂👏🏼

🎓 Educate people.

❤️ Help people.

🧠 Share your knowledge.

👏🏼 Show your experience.

📚 Teach your audience something.

🤝🏼 Support other professionals.

You can position yourself as an expert WITHOUT positioning everybody else as an idiot.

I’ve spent over 11 years in this industry and I don’t need to embarrass another professional to prove that I know my trade.

And I certainly don’t want IBA to become that kind of community either.

I want educators supporting educators.

Professionals having professional conversations.

People being able to ask questions without worrying they’re going to end up being someone’s next bloody Reel 😂

You can disagree.

You can have standards.

You can correct misinformation.

You can have strong opinions.

But you can do ALL of those things professionally. 👏🏼

Views are lovely.

Going viral is lovely.

WHEN I FIRST STARTED TEACHING, I FELT COMPLETELY ON MY OWN 🤍

I’d done the training.

I’d paid a LOT of money for my accreditation 💷

I was excited to start teaching and build the next stage of my beauty business 🎓

And then suddenly, I felt like I was left to figure everything out myself.

And THAT experience has stayed with me.

Because when you start teaching, you have SO many questions 👀

Am I doing this right?

Is my course good enough?

How do I deal with different learners?

How do I actually get people to BOOK my courses?

Should I be teaching online?

How do I grow this into an actual education business?

Sometimes you don’t need another certificate.

You need SUPPORT ❤️

You need somebody who understands the industry.

Somebody who has taught learners.

Built courses.

Created online education.

Made mistakes.

Changed things.

Tried again.

And actually LIVED it 🔥

After more than 11 years in the beauty industry and teaching hundreds of learners, I knew that if I ever created my own accreditation company, I wanted to do things differently.
