Middlesboro Alumni & Friends held the annual Golf Scramble on Saturday August 8, 2026. We had an amazing group of golfers who are some of our best supporters of our efforts to support Middlesboro Independent Schools. We always have a great time seeing these fine folks each year and appreciate the support of Alumni & Friends.

This evening, a dedicated group of Alumni and Friends gathered at Wasioto Golf Course, uniting to prepare bags for our Golf4Grants golf scramble and paving the way for a triumphant morning. Their unwavering commitment is the driving force behind the scramble's success and the Alumni Association's achievements.

— Four Generations of Law Enforcement —

Special Agent Lawson joined TABC in December 2025 and serves in the Knoxville office, bringing nearly a decade of law enforcement experience and a strong investigative background to the agency.

Before joining TABC, SA Lawson served with both the LaFollette Police Department and the Scott County Sheriff’s Department, where her assignments included Patrol, Criminal Investigations, and School Resource Officer duties. Her experience across multiple areas of law enforcement has shaped the steady, adaptable approach she brings to her work today.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bethel University, along with an associate degree in science focused on pre-engineering. Beyond her professional accomplishments, law enforcement is deeply rooted in her family history—SA Lawson is a fourth-generation law enforcement officer and the first and only female in her family to serve.

Her experience, commitment to public service, and trailblazing role within her family’s legacy make SA Lawson a strong addition to the Knoxville team, and we’re proud to have her representing TABC.

As we continue to celebrate the Class of 2026, we are proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of our seniors.

✔️ 95 of 99 graduates were college and/or career ready.

✔️ 33 seniors earned a combined $977,506 in scholarship awards over four years of study.

These accomplishments reflect the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students, as well as the support of their families, teachers, and community.

Congratulations to the Middlesboro High School Class of 2026! We are excited to see all that you will accomplish in the future.
