Snack Smart is an after-school program that teaches kids how make healthy snacks with what's available in their neighborhood! How does it work?!
The Snack Smart team will purchase a variety of ingredients from a school's surroundings. With these we will have kids think outside the box to create yummy yet healthy snacks like apple sandwiches and banana sushi! Our focus does not lie in telling kids what NOT to eat, we simply will be shining light on CHOICES. Our 'Kids Teaching Kids' online platform will have students from all areas of Miami sharing their Snack Smart experience while overcoming social, economic and cultural barriers!
