Days like this used to feel impossible to imagine.

Sitting outside, having lunch, nowhere to be and my phone lighting up with Airbnb bookings in the background.

There was a point in my life when I couldn't even picture this. At 21, life threw a curveball at me and I had to deal with a baseball career that ended before it really began. Moving back home with no plan, no income, no idea what came next.

I remember sitting in my room thinking: “Okay, everything I built my identity around is gone. What now?”

That season was dark, but it was a breaking point.

I cut out the noise and stopped hanging around people going nowhere. Started reading, studying, and learning about money, business, and real estate. Cold-called hundreds of people a day, trying to figure something out.

Nothing worked for a long time.

Until Airbnb.

I took the last of my money, maxed out a 0% credit card, and signed my first lease. Told myself if it fails I'll DoorDash to cover it, but I'm not quitting.

It didn't fail.

And now I get days like this. Lunch with my dog, bookings coming in, parents on track to retire.

I don't take any of it for granted and always stay humble.

Because what God gives, he can also take.

Okay. So is:

Skipping your kid's field trip because you can't take time off.

Lying awake at 2am wondering what happens if you lose your job tomorrow.

Working 50 hours a week... and still not being able to breathe.

Smiling at a boss who decides your worth every performance review.

Trying something new, losing money, and hiding it from your spouse.

So pick your hard.

My D1 baseball career ended at 21.

I had no backup plan and no income. But I had a choice.

Life was going to be hard no matter what.

But I could choose which hard.

So I chose the hard that built something.

And that choice made me who I am today.

Here’s why Fidel crushes it with Airbnb…

He just doesn’t feel sorry for himself.

Him getting burned by another program before is unfortunate. But he took the hit, regrouped, and gave it one last shot.

That mindset is everything.

He works a full-time IT job just like most people reading this. And he's proving every week that you don't need to quit your job to build something real on the side.

Most W-2 earners are leaving thousands on the table every year.
