Relay for Life was a total success! Our Panthers raised $57,000 dollars for the American Cancer Society during this student-led event, where participants enjoyed food, music, games, and a lot of Panther Spirit🐾 Did you participate in Relay this year? "I have always wanted to play soccer while studying. That was the main reason why I came to the US, and specifically FIU. Overall, I think it was the best decision I could have taken. I am combining my studies with soccer, a new language, and a whole different culture. Additionally, FIU combines academic excellence with high athletic standards and that's exactly what I wanted. I think being a student athlete is amazing because many people see me as a role model. I also love when we play at home and all of our classmates and friends go to see us."

"Since I was very young I dreamed of studying at a university outside my country, specifically in the US. I got a chance to study in Texas before coming here, but it was not for me. On the contrary, FIU finally made my dream come true. I love being in a place that has so many organizations for students to develop professionally. I am taking advantage of every single opportunity given to me. I am not only learning new things, but also networking and making new friends. Here at FIU I feel at ease, and I am extremely glad I decided to transfer here."
