For our last artist for our 12 Artists of Christmas, we feature sculptor and friend Gino Miles. It’s always a highlight for us to run into Gino and his work at at and this year was no different. Working in both monumental and small dimensions since the 1970s, he is inspired primarily by 20th Century European masters. For Day 11 of our 12 Artists of Christmas, we turn to Istanbul-born artist .art, who creates unique wall sculptures through her own technique by using plywood panels as layers. She is deeply inspired by Victor Vasarely, who created abstract works based on optical illusion and geometry, as well as Frank Stella, who creates textured works with his masterful use of color.

For Day 9 of our 12 Artists of Christmas, we are featuring the exceptional works of Dutch artist who is known for installations, sculptures, drawings, and autobiographical films that draw from his childhood memories.

But it was Erosion of Memory (first slide) presented at in the booth of that really caught our eye. As with all his sculptures of clay and wood, this was made entirely by hand, giving it such an authentic, coarse, and organic character that was wonderful to experience in person. The choice of dried clay emphasizes both the transience of nature and the fragility of memory, sketching a vision of a world in which growth gives way to brittle remnants.

For Day 8 of our 12 Artists of Christmas, we feature the exceptional talent of Malaysian artist who employs the Southeast Asian art of Pua Kumbu weaving and adds humble goods from 99-cent stores to construct colorful, sumptuous, totemic works. They resonate with deeply personal themes of family and identity, and speak of love, individuality, and liberation.

For Samat, it is important to embody what one feels from within - without fear, without compulsion.

Her grand installation at resembled traditional woven, brightly colored altars but a closer look revealed countless everyday objects. It was extraordinary.

For Day 7 of our 12 Artists of Christmas, we recognize the extraordinary talent of German artist who began his artistic career with graffiti before turning to classical painting.

Using his unique layering technique of acrylic and spray paint, he creates abstract landscapes that hover between reality and imagination. His works fascinate with an intense color palette, surprising changes of perspective and a special depth that immerses the viewer in an almost meditative pictorial world.

Combining street art dynamism with classical painting, Nico creates striking imagery that stopped us in our tracks at Miami this year, where he was represented by
