I loved bringing A & D’s vision to life with these beautiful pieces!! The bride desired a seating chart, welcome sign, place cards, table number, bar signs.

Our most popular material for welcome signs or seating charts are acrylics, so when we get a wooden request we don’t refuse!

Wooden signs do require more work and time because for example; you have to sand down the wood, stain the wood, have ample amount of markers and materials, measurements, etc. But seeing our clients and their guests smiles when they see their names makes it all worth it! 😊

Es**rt cards vs. Place cards- what’s the difference?

We know sometimes the term “place” or “es**rt” cards can be thrown around and get confusing. We’ve been there! Lol

𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: you will find these cards at the table, showing guests to their seat. You will typically see these on a plate or on the side, like you see in the photo!

𝗘𝘀𝗰𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀: this is a personalized seating chart. You’re es**rting your guests to their table. It will display the guest name and table number!

It has been a minute since we have talked about us/ how TYT came about, etc, so I think it’s time to reintroduce ourselves! My name is Julie (bottom), and this is Dina (top).

Some Background:

Dina and I met during our freshman year of high school and we have stuck around each other since then (it’s been over 14 years since our friendship started). 😱

We did lose touch after high school for sometime, but we reconnected when Dina reached out to me when I got engaged and she helped me out with the whole wedding planning process ✊🏼. Since that point, Dina and I continued meeting at the same coffee place, where a lot of planning, venting and strategizing went on.

Then one day, Tinta Y Tierra was born!! Fun fact: Our first business name was “Earth Ink” but it didn’t feel right.

We created Tinta Y Tierra with the intent to continue our creative and design passion(s) through calligraphy. We also wanted to connect our brand to the earth (hence, Tinta Y Tierra.) Dina and I love nature and wanted our biz to reflect this. We hope to inspire other brands and people to love on nature and our environment more. Although we feel like we have not done so enough, we will be working on bringing more eco/ nature friendly content. 🧡
