September is a great time to start Progress Monitoring for your PEP student with STAR Assessments!

One of the most common things I heard from PEP parents this past year: "I wish I had used STAR to monitor my child's progress all year — I had no idea how much I was missing!"

When parents saw the detailed reports STAR provides, they realized what a powerful tool it is — not just for satisfying the PEP requirement, but for actually guiding their child's education.

Getting started is easy. Here's how:

Step 1: Reserve funds in EMA.
Search "Lupita" in the Provider Directory to find me.

If you want progress monitoring and to satisfy your PEP requirement, choose Year-Round Access at $100 per student.

(If you just need to get the PEP requirement done, choose One-Week Access at $75 per student - you can test your student at any time of the year to meet the annual testing requirement).

STAR Testing Registration is open!

You're probably thinking, "Lupita - why are you talking about testing already? It's not even August!"

I know - but how many of you have wished you could have hit the ground running and used the STAR to monitor your student's progress year round? This was one of the most frequent comments I heard from my testing parents this past year. The info the STAR provides will give you valuable insight in directing your student's educational path.

Getting started is SO EASY - and my goal is to help you make the most of STAR testing :) Here's how:

1. Reserve funds in EMA (type "Lupita" in the search bar of the Provider Directory to find me

If you want progress monitoring AND satisfy the PEP requirment, then choose the Year-Round testing option, which costs $100 per student.

If you just want to get the PEP requirement done, then choose the One-Week access option, which costs $75 per student.

Class of 2027 Common App Bootcamp!

Date: Sunday, August 2, 2026
Time: 7 PM EST
Cost: $15

This two-hour Zoom college application boot camp is for parents of rising seniors to help them navigate and complete the Common App.

The goal of the seminar is to start this process early so you can complete most of it before the earliest of college application deadlines. This will relieve a lot of stress!!

During the session, you will start filling out the application, learn to avoid pitfalls, what to prioritize, and learn what steps are needed to complete it early!

We will cover both the student side of the Common App and the School Counselor (homeschool parent) side. We will also cover the STARS form required by many schools.

The seminar costs $15. There will be a recording provided afterward.

Excited to be speaking at the 2026 FPEA Convention on Friday, May 22, 2026 at 4:30 PM! The title of my presentation is "High School Transcripts Demystified."
